Myopia Test

Myopia is a defect of the eye that cause people to see far away objects blurred. With myopia the images are focused in the vitreous inside the eye rather than on the retina at the back of the eye. This happens because the eyeball is too long, or the cornea is too steep. The opposite defect of myopia is hyperopia or “farsightedness” or “long-sightedness”.

Myopia can be corrected commonly with the use of corrective lenses, such as glasses or contact lenses. Refractive surgery can also correct myopia but this has many risks and side effects.
